About Me
Abuse is more than just a word—it’s an experience that can feel like a constant weight or a shadow following you wherever you go. It can feel as though the trauma will never fade, as if abuse has rewritten your life story without permission. But while the scars may run deep, healing is possible.
Hi, I’m Beth, a qualified eclectic and trauma-informed counsellor and psychotherapist. I’m passionate about creating a therapeutic experience as unique as each individual I work with. I believe that no two people’s experiences or needs are the same, which is why I tailor my approach to meet you exactly where you are. Whether you’re navigating past trauma, facing relationship challenges, or seeking personal growth, I’m here to provide support that aligns with your unique journey. I have extensive experience working with individuals who have faced emotional, physical, and sexual abuse, as well as those affected by narcissism, gaslighting, and the confusion and self-doubt these toxic dynamics often create. I also support clients experiencing depression, anxiety, and challenges with self-discovery. My aim is to provide a compassionate, non-judgmental space where all feelings are valid, and healing can begin. In my previous career, I spent 21 years working with individuals coping with life-changing illnesses and life on dialysis. That experience deepened my empathy for the complex ways physical and emotional health intersect. I also work extensively with LGBTQIA+ clients, understanding the unique challenges related to identity, relationships, and societal pressures.
As someone with ADHD, I am particularly passionate about supporting neurodiverse individuals in navigating life’s complexities. My practice is rooted in creating a safe, inclusive space where you can feel truly heard and understood, no matter your background or experiences. If you’re feeling stuck in harmful patterns or overwhelmed by doubts in your relationships, please know that these feelings are normal. Through both my professional experience and personal insight, I deeply understand the impact of childhood trauma, including sexual, physical, emotional, and narcissistic abuse. Too often, survivors carry feelings of blame and shame, even though the responsibility lies entirely with the abuser. I’m here to help you explore those emotions, find clarity, and rediscover your strength.
